The Context
In November 2025, JGU hosted one of India's most significant legal events of the year: the inauguration of IMAANDAAR, the International Mooting Academy for Advocacy, Negotiation, Dispute Adjudication, Arbitration and Resolution, alongside Nyayabhyasa Mandapam, billed as the world's largest moot court. The Chief Justice of India and the Union Law Minister presided, with 26 sitting and former Supreme Court judges and 200+ national and international jurists in attendance, running in parallel with a two-day International Convention on the Independence of Judiciary.
An event at that scale doesn't run on goodwill alone. It runs on months of organising committee meetings, and JGU needed a boardroom built to match the seriousness of what it was preparing for.
The Brief
A single room, one long table, 30+ seats, that had to work two ways: as a working committee room for weekly review meetings in the run-up to the event, and as a formal, camera-ready space capable of representing the university on a national stage.
The Challenge
Rooms built around a single long table are the hardest to shoot well. One fixed camera either crops half the table or turns every speaker into an afterthought in the frame. For an institution hosting sitting Supreme Court judges, there was no room for a boardroom that looked improvised on camera.
The Solution
RTAV installed a ceiling-mounted PTZOptics 4K camera positioned dead-center over the table, giving one continuous, symmetrical sightline down the full length of the room, wide enough to hold all 30+ seats and precise enough to punch in on any individual speaker in crisp 4K. It's paired with a full gooseneck delegate mic array running the table's centerline, so every seat has both voice pickup and camera coverage on its own, with no one riding the controls live during a session.
Dual LED video walls bookend the room, carrying agenda branding, event graphics, and presentation content, turning a working meeting room into a space that reads as institutional and deliberate on screen.
The Result
The same setup that ran the organising committee's routine review meetings scaled up without a single rig change to represent JGU's preparation for a national judicial event. One room, one AV build, covering both the internal planning work and the public-facing standard the university needed to hit.
